In 1981 JJ’s started by buying a sub shop called Pietro’s that had been selling subs to Cumberlanders since 1965. The long-standing favorite of Pietro’s was its cheesesteak sub. The owner of Pietro’s, Anna Mae Cann, stayed on with JJ’s for 10 years and made sure we didn’t change a thing on those cheesesteaks! We still make them the same way, with fresh, locally sourced and sliced ribeye steak grilled with sweet Vidalia onions and seasoned to perfection. Our rolls are made daily by Caporale’s Italian Bakery around the corner and we always offer our homemade sweet peppers and banana peppers at no extra cost. One bite of a JJ’s cheesesteak and you’ll be hooked forever!
